2009 Supplier Gathering and Know How Capture
This years Intellectual Assets 2009 Supplier Gathering was held on the 1st December at Our Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh.
Hosted by Radio 4 presenter and Financial Times undercover Economist Tim Harford the key focus of the day was about identifying, capturing and exploiting Know-How. Other speakers included Ian Brinkley of The Work Foundation and David Gurteen of Gurteen Knowledge both of which offered their views and expertise on the subject.
The morning consisted of a series of talks from the above speakers followed by an afternoon of workshops including a live intangible asset counselling session, a knowledge cafe focussing on knowledge sharing strategies and a CPD session for lawyers run by Maclay Murray and Spens. The Scottish Centre for Enabling Technologies was on hand to provide advice and information to those interested in exploring enabling technologies to improve their business processes, products or company know how.
An interesting day all round which I'm sure offered a lot of food for thought for those in attendance.
I would just like to thank both the Intellectual Assets Centre and the organisers Meeting Makers for an interesting day.
